Avoiding Doing my Taxes, exit in 1/2 mile
So I was rummaging through my 'started-never-finished' file and I found a TMNT ficbit that I thought would entertain my flist. *dutifully posts!*
Let's see... if I was a normal twenty-year-old, what would I be doin' right about now?
My watch was reading twenty to midnight, but considering the fact that the second hand had stopped moving three days ago, I wasn't inclined to believe it. It was probably closer to two in the morning. Normal twenty-year-olds are probably asleep by then, or at least thinking about the possibility of maybe going home to sleep off however-many kegs of cheap beer. (I have been drunk a total of once in my life. It wasn't pleasant.) Normal twenty-year-olds probably also have shiny cars, part-time jobs, student loans, and... what else... maybe a pair of pants.
Normal twenty-year-olds do not sit on rooftops in the dead of night and wait for that knot of street punks four stories below to ambush the blonde kid coming up the walk so that they have a valid excuse to thrash their sorry butts. Normal twenty-year-olds do not wear masks, carry sais, and bitch and moan to themselves about what normal twenty-year-olds are doing that they are not doing at two-ish in the morning.
I'm a lot of things - turtle, ninja, brother, son, student, hothead. "Normal" has never been on that list.
The street trash below were making their move. I grinned and began my descent.
I find Raph easier to write than the other turtles. I wonder why that is.
