*headdesk headdesk headdesk*
So, my boss informs me that I won't be going full time at the animal hospital. Time to whore myself out at the retail job sites, I suppose. Since 'not a complete drooling troglodyte' seems to be my only meaningful job qualification.

In contrast, my mom lost her teaching position at her old school last week due to a lack of students to fill the seats. Two days later, she had two interviews and two job offers. I'm trying not to be jealous about this, because a) she's a county employee so they had to put her somewhere, and b) she's a teacher and therefore has some value to society.

No wonder your mum has no idea about how hard you've been working to find jobs. *hugs tight, my moogle...*

I think she knows on some level, but she doesn't quite get it. *curls up on and sighs*

Knowing it is very different to experiencing it, though. *curls around and holds tight...* ...Still, now she's not jobless anymore, think she can scare up your necessry paperwork? ;PPP

Honestly? I'm just going to get it myself. I asked her in January.

I get that they're busy, I really do. But honestly? When they ask me to do them a favor, I do it that day. When I ask them, they may or may not do it whenever they feel like getting around to it. It's just faster to do stuff myself rather than wait around for them.

One rule for the rulers and one for the ruled, it seems. *cuddles moogle tight!* That's just flat-out unfair.

It is! And in the case of fixing up my bike, it's going to cost me money, but if I keep waiting for Dad to do it I'll never get to ride the darn thing.

...What's up with your bike? I might be able to help out a bit there. *nuzz!* One more reason to learn how to do it yourself, I suppose, but if they sya they'll help you'd think they'd at least feel the tiniest bit obligated to follow through. >(

Nothing that I know of besides the tires being flat, but I haven't ridden it in a while so I want to make sure everything's in Proper Working Order before I ride it again.

Well, the main things are to check all the nuts and bolts are on properly, so you'll need an adjustable spanner and a set of allen keys, if you don't have any to hand already. You need your handlebars within easy grabbing distance, so long as they're comfy, and you're supposed to have your saddle at the point where you can reach the ground with your toes comfortably. *nuzz* That shouldn't be too difficult to find and fiddle with, hopefully, but if you haven't used your bike for ages they'll be stiff and need oiling up.

*snrk* No, I just have no idea what all that is. Not a mechanically inclined moogle, me. ^_^;;;;

Eheh. Oops. ^_^;; An adjustable spanner is one of these - basically a wrench you can fit around almost any size of nut. Allen keys are littel twiddly bits of metal that fit into their corresponding nutlets that are too small for even the bittiest or wrenches.

...Really, the most important thing is to make sure your bike still fits you, slap on a bell and a couple of lights and make sure everything's oiled up and not sticking or set to fall off. And, y'know, wash it down before you get on it. *grins and hugs?*

Hee. I try. *loves!* ...And rust spots! If something's rusty, you need to wash it down, scrub off the rusty bits and coat it with something, depending on what it is. *flail!*
