Good lord, they're attacking in droves.
First it was the Temple Baptists (not to be confused with the regular kind, apparently). Then it was somebody shilling for some political dude or other. Then it was - I don't even know.

Regardless, I'm seriously considering not answering my doorbell for the next couple of weeks. It seems to be canvassing season. *hides under the bed*

Next time one comes, I say ask them, "Have you discovered the Church of Jenova, Lady of the Reunion?" and have fun with 'em. >XD

Praise Hojo!

>:D

And think of how much fun it would be--it'd be a challenge, how long could you keep it going before you cracked up or their realized you were having them on?

...the sad thing is, if I ever got any at the door, I'd probably pull out the "Jenova's Witnesses" schtick. :D

*rings doorbell* "Hello, cult of Slaanesh here... have you heard the good news?"

"!?"

"Okay, well, the good news for today is that we've bought all the cake, alcohol and BBQ stuff in town and we're holding a party down at the lake. Do you wanna come with us? ^_^"

I should do that, one day. Organise a huge party and then go door to door inviting people to come to it.

(Isn't it great? [info]sternenstaub made it for me!)

*LOL*

(The scary thing is, when I've played Chaos in WH40K, I've tended to play Slaaneshi...always did like my little Chaos Pervs :D)

Slaanesh is the Lord of Awesome, and clearly the perfect antidote to door to door Christianity in all its forms. *grins* Less guilt, more party already!

(Have we e-met before, btw? If not, hi, I'm Rath and I like you already *grin*)

Find something black and drape-y, light a candle, stick it in a holder. Next time they come knocking answer the door with your hood over your eyes and the candle in one hand. Give them a serene smile and greet them with "hello sister/brother (delete as appropriate)".

Results should be interesting.

...That would work on the political canvassers too.

Well it worked on the unfortunate pizza boy who arrived extremely late at the address of the friend who I got the idea from, at least. XD

We don't really get political canvassers where I live, and I think we permanently scared off the Mormons and JW Posse in previous visits (to the point we're now on the "avoid" list).

How we got pretty much permanently on the Jehovah's Witness "do not visit" list is a story in and of itself.

One morning, little Korean lady from the JW Posse knocks on the door--my husband (who is hairy enough to be confusable with Sasquatch) shows up at the door in just his underwear.

After having just woken up.

Korean JW Posse member is a wee bit intimidated. Hands out the copy of the Watchtower...

...whereupon my husband goes "Ungawa!", snatches it from her hand, and starts *eating it* in front of her.

Little Jehovah's Witness lady screams, pisses herself in terror, and *runs* from the apartment complex dropping tracts hither and yon.

They have not returned since. :D

Sweet Darkness, that's BRILLIANT. *rotfl* Your husband wins at life.

But I have to ask... what did it taste like? I think we should be told! ^_^
