Battle for the Smithsonian! XD
Have I mentioned how much I love the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History? If they'd let me set up a cot in the gift shop, I'd totally spend a week there. I may attempt it once they open the Hall of Human Origins. I'm a bit of a geek.

The reason I gush is because my parents took me to the Museum today, as a birthday Thing. It's been a while since I've been in DC, now that I think about it - not since the Cherry Blossom Festival, which was in early April. Anyway, was a lovely time. We spent most of the day in the fossil exhibit and the Hall of Mammals. Dinosaurs! :DDD And and ancient ancestors of dolphins and horses and turtles and dogs and something that I swear is an ancient ancestor of a chocobo. XD So that was a lot of fun, and now I have a plushie whale to play with too. (Needs a name.)

And then after that there was amazingly-awesome dinner at a Korean barbecue place. Om nom nom.

.......Tired now. *thud*

EDIT: Almost forgot! I found a Chick tract entitled 'Who Is Allah?' on the Metro on the way back. It's currently stashed in a plastic bag in my purse until I figure out what to do with it. A ritualistic burning and burying of the ashes seems ideal, or I could just scan in some choice bits and let y'all mock it.

...My brain is currently singing 'Who is Sylvia, who is sheeeee?', so ritual burning sounds good. *facepalm!*

I was going to say "scan it!" but then realised I could save Pep the trouble (warning for those who fear the taint, that link does go to Jack Chick's website! *protective icon*)

Oh, and in "six degrees of song lyrics" I'm now stuck with the Roy Chubby Brown version of "Living Next Door To Alice" ("Alice? Who the *goon show soundeffect* is Alice?!")

*facepalms also*

You are wonderful. *hovers over the link, trying to decide whether to click*

...Also, I apologize to you both. *hugs?*

*bows* I aim to please, as it says on the sign in the men's room. *runs!*

Hee, no worries. I just wish I could find that remix of the song on the internet - it was hilarious, as it started with the word "fuck" getting beeped conventionally each time, and by the end it was being beeped out with everything from a pot-and-pan-crash to a cruise liner's whistle. I don't normally laugh at humour quite that juvenile but the sheer bizarreness of the FX made that one worth it. ^_^

You know what, it might even be worth trying to get allowed to camp in the Smithsonian for a week. They could use you as a publicity stunt to demonstrate their awesomeness, and you could get famous while you were doing it. Maybe you could do skibbles for visitors at ten dollars a shot or something. It could totally be awesome!

Ask them for a vacation? *optimistic look* Surely they can spare you for a week.

(I'm actually serious here, btw. I totally think you should at least talk to the Smithsonian and see if someone there has enough sense of fun to like the idea! Plenty of people do stranger things on the Intertubes every day, after all...)

...I'm having a hard time picturing it, to be honest. XD

I collect those things! They always seem to find me... usually, for some reason, at gas stations. So you could... send it to me? :D I have this bizarre attraction to them. (Hey, it gets them away from poor other people...)
