Persepolis
I had the day off today (apparently I'm still in limbo at work, schedule-wise), so I watched the movie Persepolis. It's a (mostly) black and white cartoon film, an autobiographical account of a girl growing up in Iran during the war and revolution.

I won't go into too much detail. I'm still sorting through my feelings about it, but I have to say it really affected me. Even though I can't really imagine or understand a lot of the things she lived through, I could identify with how she felt growing up. One thing's for sure, I feel a lot better about our government, despite our faults, but at the same time I feel even stronger about fighting for the things I'm passionate about.

I didn't really get any writing done today. How do you find words after hearing a story like that?

I'm interested about seeing this movie. The creator had a- can't really call it a comic- an illstrated strip in one of my english reading books, and some time after I read it, I saw that she had made a movie. Would you say that this is a movie worth seeing?

Definitely, with emphasis, definitely a movie worth seeing.

Good to know, thank you. I'll see if I can't rent it. Thanks again.
