Odd, odd high-fantasy-fandom-space-opera dream.
I was an alternate universe sort of like Star Wars at first, with the multiple planets and all, but it was ruled by the Decepticons, though the Autobots had some status. (I've been reading the TF kink meme, leave me alone.) I played the part of a lonely, downtrodden young flesh creature (typecasting!) coming to one of the planets in the central hub to work. I met Optimus Prime, who was in charge of managing the human workforce and doing his best to make things better for them within the constraints of Decepticon rule. I wound up making his life a little harder for him (can't remember quite how, but it was probably something like 'rebellious tendencies' - I'm not very good at following orders ;) ), and got sent to Shockwave for some sort of test that mostly involved putting my belongings in a freaky particle accelerator or something. The results of said test was that I was an avatar/chosen one/kumquat of what my brain labeled a gold dragon-god, though when I saw its seal it looked more like a griffin to me. Naturally this meant I should be Captured and Neutralized with all due haste. I hate it when that happens.

So, there was some panic, some peering over maps, and Optimus Prime winds up helping me escape into the badlands of the planet where a) the Decepticons' hold wasn't as strong, and b) there was a lot of trees and cliffs and stuff. I wound up getting chased out to the edge of a cliff, but I saw that griffin seal again, spoke the dragon's name three times (Skorr? Scorch? Something like that.) and sprouted wings and started to drift into the valley below - only to be woken up by my mother before I could start flying properly. Foo.

And now I voom to Spencer's, because as I said, I've been ass-deep in the TF kink meme all weekend and my vibrator quit on me.

Ohhh, now I see what you mean about the destiny thing. *giggles* Maybe it is some kind of destiny thing - going through adversity and repression, then finding the key to unlocking your moogly potential! :D

...Hey, I can dream, can't I?

ROFL!

We're just wondering if teh moogle has read "Doon", the parody of "Dune" - it's the kumquat thing. :3 We read it ages ago, and have fond system memory of it, so...yeah...

The first thing I thought of was the other kind of Haagen Das, so... ^_^; Still, kumquat ice cream must be popular somewhere, I suppose.

*grins* My Dad had a load of the Dune books, but I was always more interested in getting my pint-sized mitts on either his copy of Lord of the Rings or his Terry Pratchett collection. ;)
