Argh.

I had a moment of weakness and got a Tegaki journal - it's like a blog with drawing instead of writing - and spent the weekend getting hand cramps over my inaugural post. I finally finished it Sunday night, and, because I am a moron, promptly hit the back button and lost everything.

...Luckily I'd taken a screencap first. Here it is, if you're interested - it's not that great, I'm not used to painting, but I was pleased anyway. ...I think my next attempt will be lineart. Something a bit less labor-intensive. *flexes hands* XD

Painting The Second Graders: The Report

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I do not envy Mom her job. But as a rare diversion, it was fun to interact with the little terrors this afternoon. ^_^ The whole deal was like a mini-funfair for the end of year (although they still have a few days to go), so besides me they had a temporary tattoo place, games, hot dogs and candy. Overall the kids were all nice, but - as to be expected this time of year - supremely hyper. Somehow I managed to read them a Story when I arrived despite the squirrelyness, then went outside to get set up with my face-painting supplies. It was HotAndHumid, but I was set up under a shade tree so I was okay. And one of the nice Helper Moms brought me a water.

The paints I had were more like crayons, kinda thick, so I couldn't do anything real detailed. ...Which is probably a good thing. If I'd been capable of it, I probably could have sat there for hours doing one butterfly. ;P As it was, I managed to skibble out some credible things for just about everybody. Requests ranged from butterflies to lightning clouds to mermaids to swords, and one kid said 'Just do whatever' and I did him a phoenix. He guessed what it was before I was done drawing it. X3 I think my favorite, though, was the real-little guy who asked for Spider-Man. I did him an awesome Spider-Man, you guys.

And then we all trooped back inside and I got to read them another Story before final bell. ^_^ And then I let Mom show me off to a couple of her coworkers and helped her take some of her wall decorations down. (I'm probably going to be doing that some more next week. Curse my better nature.)

Moogle's Day Out

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Have I mentioned how much I love being able to pop down to Washington D.C. on my days off? ^____^ Seriously, it rocks. Even if I'm mostly interested in the museums. (There are a lot of museums.)

Fun and educational! )

So, good day. But I am worn out now. *sighs and flops out* ^_^ ...Who knows, maybe I'll go back next weekend for the cherry blossom festival. :D

I promised I would, and I did - designed a business-card-sized reminder to our fellow fans that hygiene is a splendid and wonderful thing. In large, friendly letters.

And here's Draft 1. Plain&simple design in whites and blues. )

Suggestions? Ideas? Should I stick to fanart? ;) (I love designing for geeks. They're such an accessible customer base.)

Am tired and lazy. Have some porn.

Had a fun weekend, but because fun weekends usually lead to floppy moogles, I'll leave the report 'til tomorrow and hope you'll be content with a linkdump.

So [info]beckyh2112 showed me this, which is basically an index for a Japanese fanart site. Because I couldn't find any comprehensive image list links, I took it upon myself to look through every single image in search of the ones y'all might be interested. That's right, my dear flist: I looked at scary Japanese porn so you didn't have to. Well, unless you want. ;P

Divided into links for Transformers, FF7, Kingdom Hearts, and a few random ones I didn't recognize but thought were cool. The rest were all characters I didn't recognize. WARNING: a good handful of these are not worksafe. The bad ones are marked with a **; click at your own risk.

Final Fantasy 7 )

Kingdom Hearts )

Also, FF7 fan remixes from our friends at OverClocked ReMix! Absolutely gorgeous. *pokes BitTorrent to download faster, dammit*

In other news, I finally got my hands on the last issue of Megatron: Origins. I... think I need to switch factions now, excuse me... *wobbles, swoons, thuds and worships*

Right then. Weekend report.

Friday night - despite having had only six hours of sleep the night before, I got together with [info]ravynfyre, [info]poptartodoom, and [info]lunatron to go see Transformers in Imax. ...or in this case, "slightly larger screen." And in case you were wondering, the extra footage was disappointing. Just more squishies. -_- Still! The "Autobots Descend" scene was just as squeak-inducing the second time around, and I got to hang out with my friends and make a fannish fool of myself! And crash and burn at the arcade. Racing games, like every other game that doesn't involve extensive menus, are not my forte.

And instead of going right to bed like I should have afterwards, I stayed up and kicked genocidal ass in FFVII. Didn't even need KotR. ^_^

Saturday - [info]ravynfyre and me at the Renfest! Ravyn was smashing in her shieldmaiden dress and she got to do parade with me. ^_^ Also also also, I was actually funny! Granted, most of that was because of a prop one of the food-booth dudes gave me (my "stool sample." Draw your own conclusions) but I also told a girl that the fake ears, toes and fingers in the Viking booth "make good soup." I thought she was going to throw up all over me. XD Of course, the highlight of my day was when the queen asked me to bring her a pretzel. I must have run around half the fair looking for a stupid pretzel dude, before I finally cheated and got one at the source. Of course, not ten minutes later I saw both pretzel dudes. Gah!

Sunday morning, of course, I woke up feeling like death warmed over, tried to snap out of it by eating breakfast, gave up, went back to bed and slept 'til noon. A light lunch and a three-hour nap later I finally watched Advent Children, which nearly made me 'splode from shiny. And now I'm more or less back to normal, energy-wise.

...I don't have any excuse for not working on my Fluffiroth fic now, do I? CURSES. (Except, you know, [info]springkink.)

Today's my first day at my new job! EEEEE!

EDIT: My final project in Advanced Photoshop, a.k.a. Briar and Laramie being fluffy at each other. It's as done as it's gonna get. *hides*

Yes, I should be in bed. PORN COMES FIRST OKAY.

So I finally got around to reading Megatron: Origins 1 and 2 today (I get so much done as a result of being bored at work). Um, I think my general reaction can be summed up as as;ldkfjTHUD. Not fair to make the bad guy that fucking sexy in addition to making me sympathize with him. *fwibbles*

(Also, Optimus? Sorry, I know you idolize the guy and all, but Sentinel Prime is kind of a dick.)

Aaaaanyway, since Megs went and got me all hot and bothered, I of course had to stop what I was doing and draw something pervy. The result: Galvatron in bondage. It's pretty skibbly even with the inks, but all in all I'm pleased at how it turned out. Especially the expression on his face. *grin*

Right. Bedtime.
