Mom took me Out today, apparently partly because I've been morose. Which - well, yeah. -_- Anyway, it was nice - got our hair cut and went to see Coraline. I enjoyed the movie quite a bit; Mom fell asleep during the second half. XD But she says she enjoyed what she saw of it, so that's all right. ...She asked me at one point if I wanted an Other Mother too. I told her I had enough trouble with the one I already had. She laughed.

The Five Question meme rears its fearsome head again! Or heads its fearsome rear. I think there's a dirty joke in here somewhere, but I can't find it.

...I may be a bit giddy. These are from (lj)_kyri, who remains a horrible person even without my corrupting influence. *cough* I'll have you perving on robots one day!

1. What's open in your Firefox/IE tabs right now?
Lessee... Gmail (because it updates itself, and I crave validation in the form of comments), my IJ friendslist, several possible volunteer things from Idealist, an Expedia airfare thing that I need to print out once my printer decides to exist, and the Gamefaqs walkthrough for Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure because Etoile is being a drama-queen bitch and I have no idea what's up with her.

2. What's your favorite thing about living where you do?
Being so close to DC. Seriously, a little bus ride and a little Metro ride and I am within walking distance of the National Zoo! ...Not that I am walking anywhere in this weather, but it's nice that I could.

3. What's one fandom you'd like to get into, but haven't (yet)?
I've made a couple of attempts to poke my nose into Ninja Turtles fandom, but in the end I end up retreating to clutch my movies and whimper. *sigh* I'm also rather shocked that I can't find a bigger following for Negima, what with all the femmeslash possibilities.

4. If you had to get a tattoo, what and where would it be?
I've thought about getting a wing. Maybe two, with little feathers down my upper arms? Either that or something Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts related. A Keyblade on my butt, I dunno. ...I'd like a tattoo, it's just that I'm a complete wimp so I'd never be able to get one.

5. What's your dream (actually on the market/not a robot) vehicle?
Take all the fun out of it, why don't you. ;P

Um, umumum, a Kawasaki Ninja? Not very practical, but that's not the point.

So, between the sucky weather (that didn't preclude me going to school, all the worse) and the continuing DS debacle, today is a total wash. *grumbles and flops*

It's been fandom dream after fandom dream lately.

First there was the one where I was in the Slums under Midgar, which was under siege by the Heartless. But that was okay, because Zack was there and he was looking out for me. I felt so secure that I could go shopping in Wall Market without worrying about getting my heart eaten. I got a nifty weapon-carrying belt. ^_^

Number two involved being mooglenapped by Beast Wars Megatron. I think it was sort of a hostage situation, since he wasn't doing me any mischief - mostly we just snarked at each other and he allowed me the run of a backyard with a pool. Then for some reason the pool got a whirlpool in it, and I had to find my way to freedom through there.

Then this afternoon was sort of a Kingdom Hearts/Lion King thing. Except it was in a factory facility with all these animals trapped in captivity everywhere. I was running around as a lion cub freeing everyone, and eventually I hooked up with Simba and Riku to go after the Bad Guys. I think a spaceship may have been involved.

That last dream may have been partly the fault of the raspberry martini I had during Mom's birthday dinner. (She adored the scarf I got her, yay! ^_^) Normally I only drink if I know I don't have to drive anywhere anytime soon, but I figured my parents would be able to tell if I was too impaired to drive home afterwards. As it was, Mom had us walk around a bit after lunch, which put me in the perfect place to get absolutely drenched by the rain right as I got to my car. XP That'll sober you right the hell up.

On the way home I saw a rainbow. :D

Also, I found a Spider-man book by Jim Butcher. MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN, I swear to God. *hearts the Holy Grail of Snark*

And, this is the preliminary sketch for my final project in Advanced Photoshop: Laramie, Briar, sappiness.

Not much on content, but it sure is purdy.

Oh, WebDev class. You may be boring and slow, but you let me play in Photoshop. And since this is basically my final project and I'm three weeks ahead of schedule, I'm tempted to make a home page for Flowerverse. (It has a fandom before it's even written! You can't imagine how much this warms my heart.) Or maybe I'll make a web page for my wingthing. She's already got her own tag on LJ, it's only a matter of time before she meta's anyway. XD
