A Safe Space for Moogles

It's the Halloween Meme, ganked from (lj)artoni! Because I won't be going trick-or-treating for realz. *sad*

01 ► Create a graphic (200 x 200 max size) to represent your personal "candy". It should have your username on it, but otherwise can feature whatever you want. Make it something special since it's self-representative.

02 ► Make a post with the subject "trick or treat?". Put your "candy" somewhere in it, and be sure to repost these instructions.

03 ► Then, go around other people's LJs and reply to them with either "trick" or "treat". If you reply with "trick", they will give you an LJ dare that you have to perform before taking their candy. If you're too wimpy for that, simply say "treat" and take their candy.

04 ► List all your collected candies in your original "trick or treat?" post to show off your collection, being sure not to direct-link! Mine is on tinypic, so feel free.

Good thing: there was the most adorable little yellow lab puppy at work yesterday and today. Sweetest and playfullest and lickiest thing on the planet, omg. *schmoops* I got pictures too, 'cause I'd brought my camera in to show off my baby birdies. ^_^ So you'll see her as a bonus on my next Baaaaby Robin Report.

Bad thing: the porn company sent me a polite rejection email. Ah well, at least they didn't leave me to twist in the wind.

In other news, I picked up two games for ten bucks each at Kmart yesterday (gimme a break, I've spent like zero of my Christmas money so far). One is Geometry Wars Galaxies, which I suck at but it's oddly soothing anyway. XD Maybe I'll make a habit of playing it before bed. And the other is DDR Supernova. I finally dragged out my dance pad after about a six-month hiatus this weekend. I suck at that too (just need to get back into practice!) but at least I'm getting some exercise. Gee, all I need is a job and a Place of my own and it'll be almost like I'm socially acceptable. ;P

I also picked up Classics Hound and Ironhide. I have to admit, the major draw was that Hound came with Ravage. XD

So, I forgot to do the happything post last night, so I guess I owe you two tonight. ^_^;;; So! Day 6: Porn makes me happy, but you all knew that. ;)

(Srsly, though, you guys, Mom went to a cookie-exchange party yesterday and now we're in cookies up to our ears. I am going to be one roly-poly moogle by the time the holidays are over. ...Anyone want to come over? :D?)

Day 4: Today I made a new friend - an absolutely beautiful cat named Zen. She's smaller and more finely-built than most cats, with beautiful dark brown stripes on pale tan fur. I'd let Mom borrow my camera, otherwise I would've tried to sneak a picture of her... anyway, she's a total and utter sweetheart and I was upstairs loving on her every chance I got. ^_^;;; I'll be sad when she leaves tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have time to get one last cuddle in.

You know, having this job has really driven home how much more comfortable with animals I am than with people. I can rattle off the names, breeds, health issues, likes and dislikes of every animal I take care of, but I still barely remember the receptionists' names. They're all perfectly nice people and have been nothing but friendly to me, but I just... haven't connected with them, I guess. Of course, I never really figured out the secret to making human friends. Animals are less complicated. And less likely to shred your self-esteem for their own amusement, but that's neither here nor there.

In other news, I'm linking this for my own reference, because it makes me feel like writing again.

Day 3: OMG BABY TURTLE. Seriously, guys, the stubby little feets and cute little face are adorable, but that little headtilt? Slays me. So hard. *hearts*

...look, you want dignity, you're on the wrong blog. ;P

Speaking of no dignity, this is what I'm getting my grandmother for Christmas. At my mother's insistence, mind, because - is anyone else as creeped out as I am? o_o I feel like I should be wearing a cross and waving garlic. I'm amazed Mom doesn't see it, as big a Buffy fan as she is.

...Interesting. I've now officially had more alcoholic drinks in one night than I've ever had before, and I can't even tell. I had a hot chocolate with Peppermint Schnapps in at dinner (kind of a tall one, at that), then a Sprite with limoncello a couple hours later, which probably doesn't sound like much but I'm used to One Martini, Period. I don't even feel all that sleepy, which is unusual because of how my meds react when I drink.* ...I guess I'm Doin It Rite. ;)

The only reason I had that much was because the neighbors came over, so it was kind of a special occasion. We all went out to a fancy restaurant for dinner (private room and everything, you guys, it was amazing. Way too good for the likes of us.), and then repaired home to make asses of ourselves on Wii Sports. The funniest part was, I'd gone in and made Miis of a bunch of FF7 characters, so that's what they played with. It was a little surreal to watch them trash-talk each other as Barret and Marlene at bowling. XD

SO. Day 2: Playing on the Wii makes me happy. :D

Goal for tomorrow: finish up my last couple of Christmas presents to send out. And rest up, because I'm frankly tired of feeling sick. -_-

*Sometimes I think the only reason I'm not a lush is because I can't stay awake long enough.

So jlsigman has been posting one thing that makes her happy every day for 8 days and invited her flist to do the same, and since I wrote a followup fic for that Roddy/Galvatron awesomeness that (lj)vani_nessa wrote for me, today seems a good idea to take her up on that.

Day 1: The existance of Galvatron/Rodimus as a pairing makes me happy. I have a long history with it, encompassing both Joy and Drama, and it's made me some awesome friends. And it, uh, pushes all my buttons. ^_^;;;;
