My scanner's still not working, but fortunately, Dad has a shiny working scanner upstairs. Unfortunately, it made my tentacle!Roddy skibble ug-ly and I'm not going to re-scan it tonight. I'll get it up tomorrow.

I find Raph easier to write than the other turtles. I wonder why that is.

Thanks for cheering me up, everyone. I'm sorry I worried you. I'm not going anywhere, I promise - if nothing else, it'd be rude to saddle my parents with my student loans. ;P Anyway, I'm okay now. Mostly. More or less. ...look, I wrote ficlets, I can't be that far gone.

Also, there's a fluffy puppy at work. It's hard to be sad with a puppy.

You all know my fandoms, but just in case, they're listed in my interests. ;) To start us off, here's some Turtlefic, because a throwaway comment from (lj)poptartodoom inspired me. ^_^

So there's this guy at the old folks' home where my grandma lives, whom I shall call Ernie. Ernie doesn't have a lot of friends, but he's made good friends with Grandma, in part because he raves about her cooking to no end. When Grandma makes something she knows he likes, she makes some extra and brings it to him. So it's a nice little friendly arrangement they have going: Ernie gets fed, Grandma gets flattered, it's all good.

Mom told me today that Ernie found it necessary to have a serious talk with Grandma recently. "Mooglegrandma," he said, "my girlfriend has been getting phone calls recently that I've been cheating on her with you. We both know that's not true, but would you like to have my girlfriend's phone number so that you can talk to her as well?" "Why yes, that would be lovely," said Grandma (or something to that effect).

Guys, my grandma is in the middle of a sex scandal at the old folks' home. Have I mentioned how very much I want to be just like her when I get old? ^_^

And also, more from "Raph Has a Student"-verse, because jennielf asked and I got another scenesquirrel. ;)

Also, I may have a fic in mind for fictunes this month. Nothing too complicated, so it shouldn't interfere with my schoolwork. It's a Saiunkoku Monogatari fic, so of course it's Utter Cute. ^_^

Also also, have a TMNT ficbit that's been floating around in my head. ( Yes, the girl under discussion is my self-insert, but you don't actually see her so I figured I could get away with it. DEAL WITH IT OKAY. )

Lessee... what have I been up to the last few days?

Friday: participated in the LJ strike. Yes, I'm a whiny little fangirl, get it out of your systems. ( My thoughts on the matter in short rant form, for those who are interested. )

*whew* Okay, I'm done.

Saturday: went out in the evening with _kyri and lighttomoyo. We went bowling (_kyri and I sucked) and roller skating (we all kind of sucked) and to dinner, and much fun and liberties with each others' boobs were had by all. And I was out until 1:30 in the morning, whee. ^_^

Sunday: cleaned up in the basement a little, then poptartodoom called to say she was in the area, would I like to do something? As luck would have it, Mom and I had already been planning to see Horton Hears a Who, so one more person was only of the squee. We did like the movie, for reference; was very cute. Although during the scarier parts I kept thinking, "Horton, you're a damn elephant. You outweigh everyone else in the jungle! Just stampede the hell out of them, for heaven's sake!" But then he wouldn't be Horton anymore, and this wouldn't be a kid's movie anymore. And I wonder if I ought to be worried about myself. ( Horton continued: cut for current events, abortion, and a certain amount of smugness. )

Today: I got much farther on my projects, which is good as the mod ends next week. *eyeroll* Aaaand of course the printer is broken. Argh. Also, I heard a nasty rumor about how few colleges take transfer credits from the school that gets forty thousand dollars a year from me, but I'm trying not to think about that until I graduate. I really, really, really don't need anything else to worry about.

Also, apparently the President is visiting the base on Thursday. He's giving a speech at the Air Force Museum in the morning, and taking over half my dad's office building to give pep talks to the people who lost family in Iraq. (The death toll - just for Americans, mind you - hit the 4000 mark on Easter. Happy resurrection day, Jesus.)
